On Thursday 5 March 2020, the French brand of connected lightsabers manufactured and sold by Groupe LDLC signed a 3-year partnership with the Fédération Française d’Escrime (FFE) and its Académie de Sabre Laser (ASL). The 2 entities have the common goal of working on raising the profile of this new sport on a national and international level. Thanks to this partnership, SOLAARI has become the FFE and the ASL’ premium supplier of lightsabers, thus reinforcing the brand’s leading position in France.

As a reminder, SOLAARI manufactures extremely realistic lightsabers. Fully customisable, the lightsabers were highly successful at the 2019 CES and can be purchased on and will soon be available on and, online as well as in stores. SOLAARI lightsabers are designed for pop-culture aficionados, cosplayers, artists as well as high-level athletes and martial arts enthusiasts.

Eager to be innovative, the Fédération Française d’Escrime is evolving and embracing lightsabering! Through its Académie de Sabre Laser, in April 2018 the FFE became the very first federation in the world to officially recognise the practice. Two years later, the sport boasts 100 clubs and over 1,000 licence holders in the French overseas territories and abroad as some American and Chinese associations are now affiliated to the ASL.
